Dubai Zoo

Dubai Zoo

The exotic desert land of Dubai has a beautiful zoo with diverse animals from all around the world. Does this surprise you? What’s even more interesting is that the Dubai Zoo is the first and the oldest zoo in the Arabian Peninsula.

Dubai Zoo

Despite the hot climate and unfavourable conditions, Dubai has outdone itself by creating the perfect environment for all the animals that it houses from across the world.

The zoo was built in 1967 by H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Maktoum who allocated two hectares of land in the posh and popular beach front, Jumeirah. The area where the zoo is located is uptown and has many other tourist attractions like the Burj Al Arab, Marina, and Jumeirah Walk.

About the Zoo

The Animals

Among the many exotic animals, you can spot endangered species like the Royal Bengal Tiger, Grey Wolf and the Siberian Tiger. Some of the popular animals are Pumas, Jaguars, Giraffes, Foxes and birds like Ostriches and colourful Parrots. The zoo also shelters over 400 specimens of reptiles.
