Flowing between Bur Dubai and Deira, the Dubai Creek is a streak of seawater located in the centre of historic Dubai and is brimming with life on all fronts. It is rightfully considered to be the reason for the City of Gold's existence. A century ago, trading between the city and the outside world began. The Creek became the ultimate choice for developing a commercial seaport.
Expanding over a vast area, the Creek Park Dubai is a beautiful space, filled with lush, grassy areas, colourful flowerbeds, and themed gardens. Rent a bike to explore the park. If you are in a group, you can choose the small bicycle for two persons or the bigger one for four persons, and ride around the huge park. There is also the option of boarding the train to go to the park.
You could also enjoy a barbeque party in the barbeque area, while the children play in a beautifully designed kids park. Children City is a theme park where kids of all ages can have some fun time for the cost of 15-20 dirhams.
The Creek Park Dubai entrance fee is about 5 dirhams per person and can be paid at any of its entrances. The main entrance to the park is from Garhoud Bridge, but you can also enter through Gate 1, which is closer to the cable car ride. The Dubai Creek Park opening hours is from 8 am to 11 pm during winters. However, the Creek Park timings change from 5 pm to 9 pm during the summer.
There are numerous activities and places to be visited around the Creek. You can use the boat, the train, the bike, or even just walk to discover them. If you are a history buff, the Heritage Village and Museum in the ancient district of Bastakia will interest you. Located inside the fort of Al Fahidi, the museum was built in 1787 and is considered to be the oldest building in Dubai.
The Creek Park has access to the cable cars, which you can pay to ride for over an hour and get an aerial tour of the beautiful canal. Suspended over 30 metres above the flowing water, it is quite an experience to tour the length of 2.3km of the bustling Creek in just an hour.
Although the small wooden Abra are used to ferry passengers between the historical points in Bur Dubai and Deira's souks, you can take a guided tour aboard a traditional dhow along the Creek, Dubai. The dhow is a wooden sailboat that is considered to be a traditional Arabian mode of transport and is a popular part of the Dubai Creek boat tour.
Enjoy the beautiful sunset and a scrumptious dinner on the cruise while breathing in the illuminated skyline of the city. Get a good view of the impressive array of architecture, which Dubai is characterised by and click pictures of the famous landmarks.
When you're staying at DAMAC Maison, cruises along the Creek can be organised for you from our hotel's concierge. Choose from the different tours that include the Dubai Creek in their itineraries and your trip will be more affordable!
